Good for you! I hope there will come a time when any one or all of you might have enough layover time to drop in for a visit, either to my Old Folks Cave, Workshop and Gallery on West 38th street. (I will most like not move outa here until the Medical Examiner drags me out the door, kicking a bit and dragging at least one last puff of a Kool.)

Better yet (altho I do like my work) we could grab a casual bite at Fricano’s second location in what used to be Bluebonnet Plaza. The atmosphere is un–un-un-Austin in that nearly everyone talks to nearly everyone else. Horrors!

Although I have little to bring to the table. I’m as socially inept and generally as clumsy as ever, and I drool enough to be mildly entertaining, even in life.

The honest truth is that I am extremely fond of you for being – by my estimate among that greater part of the human race that isn’t preoccupied with fucking it up for the rest of us.

Fumblers and The Aged may not deserve it, but it sure would be nice to meet up and be awkwardly overcome in friendship.

So this whole freakin exercise has bypassed being about you. What can I say? It’s always about everybody, especially me. Judging from your bookings, old pals, you’re proving that youth is not a-l-w-a-y-s wasted on the young.
